I’ve just made a very simple LED Matrix Adapter for the 60mm LED Matrix so that you don’t need to use the breadboard any more. The PCB is just a few wires with headers, really nothing special.

HI! IS IT COMMON ANODE/CATHODE? RG/RGB?
Hi there, it’s for the RG matrix. It can be either cathode or anode because it’s just wires that connect to the LED matrix to the headers, this is so you don’t need to use a breadboard.
Have a look here so you can see it’s just wires and nothing special: http://www.insidegadgets.com/projects/led-matrix-adapter/
I’m really enjoying reading through your blog. Excellent work!
I wish I’d thought of making an adapter like this back in my early matrix days.
One tip for your next one – use ‘machined’ headers on the matrix side. You’ll get a much better connection.
Thanks and thank you for the tip 🙂
