Here’s the Netgear DM602 ADSL Modem tear down, at 8 years old so it’s interesting to see how different the PCB looks from the modern router.

So now we’ve got something that was made probably 2-3 years ago, the Netcomm NB9W ADSL2+ Modem Router with VOIP. It’s a large unit and at first you think it’s all just plastic but it really looks like a lot of hardware for a router like this. This router has lots of Broadcom chips.

Here’s my first post, inside the 2Wire 2071A Bigpond Gateway, I think this modem is about 2-3 years old. No screws to unscrew this modem, so I just took a dermal to it and opened it up (not like it was working anyway).
